On this site you will find various units all spanning my (Jason Quevedo's) personal curriculum for faculty and staff at Don Bosco Technical Institute. Through the use of the exercises on the left, I hope faculty and staff will be able to understand what different things affect their computer and what they can do to fight against those problems. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to email me at q@boscotech.edu. I am available in the Computer Science Department should you need to stop by. The curriculum is set up into 3 unit's. Unit 1 will go over Spyware and Adware Removal. Unit 2 will cover Firewalls and their installation. Unit 3 will talk about viruses and some free tools for detection and removal. Give yourself a good 1-2 hours per unit to allow for reading, downloading, and installing of the programs that will be used. Please note that any software on this site is either free to download or use via internet, so you will not be required to purchase anything. Please make sure to fill out the survey's, so that I may get to know the effectiveness of my tutorials.
Thank you, Jason Quevedo |
